Single Sign On (SSO)
Say goodbye to the hassle of multiple logins with TRAK LMS and SSO integration. With just one sign-in, your team can access a world of training resources.
Take your team's skills to the next level with TRAK LMS and SSO today.
Using TRAK’s Single Sign On (SSO) simplifies your login process, eliminating the need to remember multiple usernames and passwords.
With just one set of login credentials, you can easily and securely access TRAK and all your other systems.
This means less time spent logging in and more time focused on learning. Plus, SSO enhances security by reducing the likelihood of users creating weak passwords or reusing the same password across multiple platforms. Your data is secure with TRAK!
No double handling of data.
SSO also streamlines the management of user accounts and data. When you update your account information in one system, it automatically updates in all your other systems, including TRAK. This ensures your information is always accurate and up-to-date, saving you and your administrators time and effort.
Let’s get technical.
TRAK relies on user authentication to ensure secure access to its features and services. To enable this authentication, TRAK utilizes Amazon Cognito, which is a comprehensive authentication, authorization, and user management service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
To integrate with TRAK, a client-side SAML Identity Provider (IdP) like Microsoft Azure Active Directory or OKTA can be used. SAML, or Security Assertion Markup Language, is an XML-based standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between parties, such as an IdP and a Service Provider (SP). In this case, TRAK is acting as the SP and can be configured to accept SAML assertions from the client-side IdP.
This integration allows users to sign in to TRAK using their credentials from the client-side IdP. The client-side IdP can handle the authentication process and provide the necessary information to TRAK using SAML assertions. TRAK can then use this information to grant access to its features and services, based on the user's authorization level.
Overall, integrating TRAK with a client-side SAML IdP provides a secure and streamlined authentication experience for users, while also allowing TRAK to maintain control over access to its resources.
Integrates neatly with the likes of:
SSO reduces the risk of password-related security breaches and makes it easier for Learners to access their training and development resources. It also saves time for IT administrators who would otherwise need to manage multiple usernames and passwords for each user. Additionally, SSO can help with user adoption of TRAK LMS, as it removes a potential barrier to entry by making it easier for users to log in and access the platform.
